I actually saw the this in practice on a cab about three weeks ago.
Essentially it allows you to turn any smart device i.e smart phone, tablet into a mobile card machine.
This is very cool and has been the norm in develop countries for a while now.

HOW IT WORKS
Another thing that makes this cool is that it will make it less expensive for small/family restaurants and shops to get card machines. I remember once a restauranteur told me it actually cost them more to get a card machine for their small establishment than to pay for uncapped monthly wifi.
Imagine street vendors having these babies or all those hipster markets we all love, too dope! Especially if you are like me and hate carrying cash.
